Student Tutors consists of exactly what the name contains; students. All of our tutors are either commencing or in the midst of University study. With tutors from the disciplines of Medicine, Biomedical Science, Law, Business, Engineering and Psychology, it can been seen that each of us have successfully completed our own schooling endeavours and continue to complete some sort of education.

The proprietor of The Student Tutor Network, Ashley, has been tutoring for over 7 years and had formed the business to be able to give other students like herself the opportunity to help others while studying.

Being students, flexibility is the one of the things we can offer in times of tutoring. Many establishments are on a 9-5 basis, while, our times can change on a daily basis, therefore, allowing students to have lessons before school, after school or even on weekends.

About our Managers:

Ashley Van Leeuwestyn:

Owner of Student Tutors

Ashley began Student Tutors in 2013 after tutoring previously as a private tutor. She became overbooked and wanted to help more and more students and hence, began the Student Tutor Network in hope to do just that. Today, STN has 260 tutors and have serviced thousands of students all across Australia.

Ashley completed her HSC in 2010 on the Central Coast, then entered a Bachelor of Biomedical Science which she completed in 2014. Today, Ashley is completing her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle and continues be active in the shaping and direction of Student Tutors.

While becoming a conventional teacher wasn't something Ashley was interested in, she went in the direction of private one-on-one forms of education and found a real passion for it. Her experience of education was certainly positive as she had great support from teachers and family throughout her schooling, but especially during her HSC. Support during any educational endeavour is a priority, hence her love of our service and passion for tutoring.

Ashley believes the success behind this business is our tutors. Each one has been handpicked for their personal qualities and academic results. All of our team are recent HSC graduates and have entered into higher education.
